Kahan pe meri jaan - calcutta mail Calcutta Mail is a 2003 Bollywood film starring Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. It was directed by Sudhir Mishra. [edit]Plot Avinash (Anil Kapoor) comes to Kolkata (Calcutta) to search for his only son and finds himself engulfed with too many people interested in him. His only lead is a telephone number given to him by a cop before coming to Calcutta. As soon, as he lands in Calcutta, he needs a place to stay, in a chawl, in Calcutta, here, he meets up with Reema/Bulbul (Rani Mukherjee), a novelist, who is supposedd to be doing some research for her novel. The room that Avinash gets is occupied by Bulbul (Rani Mukherjee). She refuses to vacate, and stays on, and Avinash, stays there too (though tradition bound he sleeps out-side the room). There are flashbacks in the story. Sanjana (Manisha Koirala) and Avinash once lived in Kolkata with their only child, a son. One day, Avinash witnessed a crime being committed and came to the assistance of the victim, and took him to hospital. This did not augur well with his assailants, and they killed Sanjana and abducted their child. The police was involved, but unable to trace the child. A heartbroken and desperate Avinash apparently decides to take matters in his own hands and begins inquiring. His inquiries take him to Bombay via the Calcutta Mail, and this is where he will find out whether his son is alive or not, or whether he himself has been lured into a deadly trap.

Manna dey was born to Purna Chandra (father) and Mahamaya Dey (mother)on 1 May, 1919. Besides his parents, his youngest paternal uncle Sangeetacharya (meaning "Venerable Teacher of Music" in Sanskrit) KC Dey highly inspired and influenced him. Manna received his early education in a small pre-primary school named Indu Babur Pathshala. Thereafter he attended Scottish Church Collegiate School and Scottish Church College, followed by Vidyasagar College where he received his graduate education. Before leaving, Mukul talks to journalists of seeing precious jewels, who publishes this into a hidden treasure story. Crooks Burman and Bose read the story and after winning Mukul's trust co continue his journey to find the treasure. Felu, a private detective is hired by Sudhir on learning that his son is in danger. The story moves with Burman and Bose managing to hoodwink Felu and moving closer to the trasure. The climax comes in the Golden Fortress in Jaisalmer, where Felu is able to free Mukul from danger, as well as from his obsession.
